  • Update of the best albums of 2012

Last week, I told that on the December 12 I was going to start re-listening to all those album I thought that could be part of the list of the best albums of 2012 or to the ones I still feel that need another listen for me to get into it. This doesn’t mean that now I won’t listen to any new albums; actually, my very long list still have some albums which aren’t crossed out. But now I’m going to fully deepen into 2012 and try to start considering seriously which albums could be part of the list. Does neither means that I only listened to albums once: there are some albums of 2012 that I have already listened to at least five times as there are other that I only listened to them once as there is one album that I only listened to half of it but when I said that I didn’t like it, I was told by many people to give it another change -this is the Death Grips’ album.

After the read more you’ll see my very long list of albums released in 2012. Let me guide you through the list: the albums crossed out are the ones I have already listened to and the ones in bold are the ones that I’ll give more importance. BUT, if you think that there is one of the albums that I should also be in bold, you only need to tell me for me to do it. AND, as always, if you like any other album released in 2012 isn’t on the list and you think I should listen to it, you know that you are more than welcomed to recommend it to me.

You should also know that I’m completely lost with this list. I have no idea which album will be my number 1; I feel none of them deserve that position, but that doesn’t mean that i don’t like 2012 for music I think that there were great records; I just can’t see one album that stood out. Actually, I thought of putting one of them first on the list, but I’m not sure that I’m being too objective. If you want to try to guess, you are more than welcomed to do so, too.

    1. bonesofherface said: Great list. Both Death Grips are the only ones I’d add’ I think. “World Music” by Goat was really good too. Let it Bleed is the best single of the year if you ask me.
